प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने इंडियन एक्सपो मार्ट में विश्व डेयरी शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन किया। इस दौरान पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि विश्व के अन्य विकसित देशों से अलग, भारत में डेयरी सेक्टर की असली ताकत छोटे किसान हैं। आज भारत में डेयरी कोऑपरेटिव का एक ऐसा विशाल नेटवर्क है, जिसकी मिसाल पूरी दुनिया में मिलना मुश्किल है।

पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि पिछले कुछ समय में भारत के अनेक राज्यों में लंपी नाम की बीमारी से पशुधन की क्षति हुई है। विभिन्न राज्य सरकारों के साथ मिलकर केंद्र सरकार इसे कंट्रोल करने की कोशिश कर रही है। हमारे वैज्ञानिकों ने लंपी त्वचा रोग की स्वदेशी वैक्सीन भी तैयार कर ली है।
